I can finally post my super-sekrit art project!

These little babies are drawings that I did for SM – I guess I owed her some drawings*. I just thought it would be pretty amusing to put classic cartoons/super-heroes in cheesecake/pin-up poses. Plus, I know SM loves the She-Ra and Jem. As for Wonder Woman, well, I needed a third subject and she totally fits the bill. And to be honest, I am having a huge WW lovefest right now. Huge. I’m watching the TV show and contemplating buying some of her trades.

Since when did I become a DC girl? Seriously. If I start talking about how much I love Superman (the most BORING of superheroes in my wee opinion), someone kick me, please.

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with the results. This project allowed me to become a lot more comfortable with my Prismas. I think I understand and absolutely love them now. I also made a couple more steps stylistically when it comes to my non-realism work. Though admittedly, I do have a ways to go in that regard. And I know that I will be exploring more of these type of cheesecake poses meshed with female pop/comic icons. I really had a lot of fun working on it.

SM was pretty pleased with them. Especially She-Ra. So mission accomplished! Score one for Team Me! Yays.

Speaking of SM, the silly girl gave me one of these and a t-shirt that reads “I Overpronate” (don’t ask, HILARIOUS inside joke). It’s very rad and has me itching a bit to get back into my habit of running. Its been so very long. I really miss it. And the coolest part about it? SM got herself one and through the Nike+iPod website, I think we can track our progress together. So it would almost be like we are running together again.

Well, kinda. In an existential kinda way.

I think I need to check out Carburn Park (and maybe look into that dog adoption) very very soon.

Beyond that, I am back at work and feeling awful. It would seem that I picked up a bug over the holidays and now I am nursing a wicked sore throat. Meh. Do not want to be here. I slept like crap last night, woke up with W at 4 o’clock in the morning, and really just do not want to be here. But sadly, I am responsible and since my boss isn’t here, I have to be.

Or at least that is what I tell myself.

I will save you the common rant I find myself giving when I start talking about work, work ethic and responsibility. At least how it pertains to my specific situation. Ahem. Wow, vague much?

*Yes, CJ, I know I have owed you drawings for years. I’m working on it.
