Woo-fricking-fracking-hoo! This goddamn drawing is FINALLY finished.
Ahem. Yes, I am pleased. Is it obvious?! No, really. Is it?
It feels like I have been working on this FOREVER. I have been working on this thing since – ack! – February. How freaking sad is that? Though, I will admit that my own laziness was the only reason that it wasn’t completed sooner. My burnout decided to rear its ugly head right in the middle of the piece. Nice. I am sure that CJ is probably pleased that the damn thing is finished too. Especially since I had promised it for her birthday on May 17th.Â
It just needs to be matted and framed and it should be good to go! Woop!
As for the drawing itself, I am extremely proud of how it turned out. Especially his hand. As many know, I have a lovehate-hate relationship with drawing hands and feet, so for this one to turn out so good, well, it gives me a fantastically big boost to my ego.   And it makes me wanna draw more hands which is not something I would have said previously. Crazy. I am also in love with his hair and his leather strap. Gotta say.
Next up? A pseudo self-portrait project that I have been formulating in my head. I’m pretty excited about it. Stay tuned!
On a completely different note, thank you for all of the kind words and support about my Dad passing away. It’s been a rough (but educational) couple of weeks (hence no real work being done), but I can’t wait to get back into things. In fact, I have been itching to get back. My work is my therapy.

OHHH OHHH happy happy!!!!!! I love it love it love it…. I am so giddy right now…
Awesome job! You should be pleased. I am very sorry to hear about your Dad, but glad to see you are pulling through it.
Interesting that you don’t like hands and feet. Ain’t the eyes a popular hate-subject?
Great drawing! Sorry, saw that I missed to mention the obvious :-)
